Connecting The Micro Dots
Click through for the youtube video on using credit cards to bootstrap your business.
It’s always nifty, of course, to run across somebody who truly “gets” what is happening in the land of microbusiness — especially since it seems to happen so rarely. But what’s better about Dr. Lahm is that he is an academic. And you know what that means, right?

Manic Weekend
Report on a dull weekend at the work desk.
The inevitable did happen: I tilted my chair, put my feet up on my PC underneath the desk and ended up snoozing. I’d answer some calls, do a cursory check of the email queue, then go back to napping again. At around 11am I ran out into the rain to grab a Subway from across the street. FOSE 2008
The FOSE 2008 conference has everything a government IT worker wants, even office furniture.

How Not To Work A Room
An office product sales rep leads to a business connection.
That’s exactly what happened to me when I met a copy machine representative. I wasn’t looking to lease a machine (I did a few years later), but I was searching for someone with a college connection to book a speaking engagement. He happened to know one of the deans, and that tie opened the door.
